East Metro Transit Facility

Dunham provided mechanical and electrical engineering design for a replacement maintenance and bus storage facility for 185 buses. The facility includes wash bays; indoor fueling; storage tanks, dispensing pumps and piping systems for maintenance fluids; flammable and acid waste systems; snowmelt system; and compressed air system. The design provides a carbon monoxide and nitrogen dioxide gas sensing system that controls ventilation rates in the storage area and maintenance area. The facility has a heat recovery system, dual fuel hot water boilers and 100 percent emergency generator backup.
