The HVAC system for the gaming floor utilizes thermal displacement ventilation to provide effective temperature control and improved indoor air quality, and offers flexibility for future gaming modifications. This system serves the entire gaming area with the main ductwork distributed under a raised floor. Placement of ductwork and branch takeoffs provides for maximum flexibility whenever the slot bases and tables are rearranged. Diffusers built into slot bases and gaming tables deliver the air into the space and optimize the air distribution into the space. Once the air is delivered into the space, it collects the heat and contaminants, which then rise above the occupied area and are exhausted from the building through grilles in the ceiling. This is a very effective air distribution system in smoking environments.
